Founder and Principal Consultant, Mary Warren is a Standards for Excellence Licensed Consultant with over 27 years of leadership experience in business and information technology process improvement in the federal government and private sector. Mary is passionate about helping nonprofits succeed through process improvement. She applies best practices and lessons learned from the private/for profit sector to nonprofit challenges and opportunities providing process-based solutions that are agile, practical and client specific.
Mary understands the day-to-day realities and challenges of running a non-profit and has worked in partnership with non-profits of all sizes and in various stages of maturity to help them move to the next level. Her areas of expertise include capacity building program design and development, program evaluation, sustainability planning, fundraising, marketing and communications, donor relations and cultivation, leadership development and training, board governance, development and evaluation, and, grant writing and reporting.
Mary is particularly committed to the nonprofit community in Baltimore City. She currently serves on a nonprofit board, and volunteers her time to support community initiatives. She is an Associate Member of Maryland NonProfits.
Certifications
Standards for Excellence Licensed Consultant: The Standards for Excellence Institute's national network of qualified consultants licensed to provide training, consulting, and support on the Standards for Excellence: An Ethics and Accountability Code for the Nonprofit Sector. The Licensed Consultant Training is an exclusive, professional development initiative that gives independent consultants the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to work with nonprofit organizations across the country interested in learning about, conducting self-assessments, implementing change, and becoming accredited in the Standards for Excellence program.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification: The Project Management Institutes PMP certification demonstrates that a project manager possesses project management knowledge, experience and skills to bring projects to successful completion. The PMP certification recognizes the competence of an individual to perform in the role of a project manager, specifically experience in leading and directing projects.
